The show lacks something special without you when it airs with "stand-in" hosts. I have never been so upset to see a Clean House episode play out the way it did in this episode. However, after thinking about it some more, I would have to believe that many people living in these types of conditions have mental disorders. Right? I think what makes me most upset is not that they were mean or in denial, but it was the fact that a gift was given to them in the form of an entire house makeover when they were not ready to deserve this gift. If this had been a typical episode, where the homeowners had to raise the money for the makeover, and Clean House simply matched a thousand dollars, we wouldn't see the uproar this episode created. I think there are many other homeowners that can ADMIT they have a problem and are ready for HELP. These ladies were not ready. Yes, they had the Messiest Home in America. Any grown woman that lives like that is sick, and in addition to that, letting her nearly grown child talk to you in such a way is terrible. Sorry that you endure people like this. But God gave you all some extra blessing when you were born. How anyone can be so ungrateful is beyond me. I suffered a nervous breakdown at 29 and still thank everyone that helped me through the denial and the bad days. These two people have some deep issues and no matter what you do for them, they will never be grateful. I moved from San Diego to Lacombe, La 7 years ago. In doing so, I saw my mom go through the same thing, but at the hands of my sister and I. My mom hoards fabric because of how the colors make her happy. But I am proud of her, because she does make blankets with them now. I love you and what you all. Your show has inspired me and my family to no longer shop for needless things just because it makes us feel good. And we always ask..."What would Niecy say?"
