Emmy-Nominated Home-Makeover Series “Clean House” Returns To The Style Network For An Eighth Season Of Clutter Busting On Wednesday, October 7 At 10pm ET/PT

Messy Tables are (Literally) Turned in the Premiere Episode When the “Clean House” Crew Knocks on Host Niecy Nash’s Door For a Special Home Makeover

Niecy Nash and her “Clean House” team of experts are back and continuing to come to the rescue of clutter-ridden homes and the frazzled families that inhabit them. Season eight of the Emmy-nominated home-makeover series promises to be better than ever, bringing bigger mountains of mess and never-before-seen challenges. Plus, it’s a “Clean House” first when the crew shows up at host Niecy Nash’s door to clear out and clean up the growing amounts of clutter created by her mother who recently moved in to Niecy’s already furnished pool house. How will Niecy react when the tables are turned and she’s the one being coaxed to give things up to make room for her mother’s items? Mayhem and foolishness have met their match when all-new episodes of “Clean House” begin Wednesday, October 7 at 10pm ET/PT, only on Style.

Throughout each one-hour episode, watch as host Niecy and her no-nonsense team of experts (yard-sale diva Trish Suhr, interior-design guru Mark Brunetz and go-to guy Matt Iseman), turn houses “possessed by possessions” into organized living spaces that allow for a fresh start for the family. First up is a preliminary assessment of the offending home. The “Clean House” crew gets to the bottom of what’s causing the clutter by confronting the homeowners- with a little humor and a touch of tough love- about all the unnecessary items choking their living space. From there, the crew gently coaxes each family member to part with their possessions and come to terms with the fact that “letting go” is a good thing.

Once all the unwanted possessions have been compiled, yard sale diva Trish jumps into action by organizing a sale to help fund the long-overdue home makeover. Will the homeowners be able to handle it when yard-sale patrons begin bargaining for their things? After the yard sale wraps and the house has been cleared, acclaimed interior designer Mark Brunetz and handyman Matt Iseman help breathe new life into the family’s living space by creating fresh new looks for the previously-messy rooms.

The premiere episode of “Clean House” kicks off with a twist when the team knocks on Niecy’s door to tackle the growing amounts of clutter created by her mother who recently moved in to help take care of Niecy’s children, following Niecy’s divorce. Having moved from a 3000 square foot home into Niecy’s smaller and already-furnished pool house, the space is overflowing with mismatched furniture, electronics, and other items brought from the old house that now have nowhere to go. Recently, her mother’s clutter has even begun creeping into the always-pristine main house leaving Niecy frustrated and desperate for help from her “Clean House” experts. It’s an emotional journey as Trish, Mark and Matt work to create a space that Niecy’s mother can call her own. Will mother and daughter’s relationship survive the makeover? Will Niecy be able to take orders from the “Clean House” team when her possessions are on the line?

Future episodes find the “Clean House” crew rescuing a hoarder whose habits are preventing his fiancée from moving in. Can the team help clear out the house to create a tidy love nest? Then, a blended family’s home is in chaos due to no rules or boundaries being set forth for the kids and the “Clean House” experts must use tough love to create one big happy living space and family. Later, when a mom who’s battling Multiple Sclerosis along with growing amounts of clutter caused by her husband and kids asks for help, the crew steps in to create a mess-busting drill sergeant out of dad and cleaning cadets out of their daughters.

Be sure to tune in when an all-new season of “Clean House” returns Wednesday, October 7 at 10pm ET/PT only on Style.

I like the show. But more the dynamics involved. Blended families are the norm today. With the recession and other issues; parents growing old and even divorce families are moving in together. I think it showed all the stuff we accumulate over the years. Great lesson in downsizing with class.
